The belly area of the coat is reinforced with sewn in bondex creating durability for securing the special pin to close the robe. The pins used are a unique type similar to the small horse blanket pins. These pins are extremely strong, yet not bulky or awkward to use.

To make a custom robe it is necessary to have the following measurements using a cloth measuring tape

: 1) Circumference of the neck of the dog about 1 inch below the ears

2) Circumference of the mid-section of the dog. For deep-chested breeds, in addition to the mid-section measurement, I would like the measurement at the deepest part of the chest.

3) Length of the dog's back from the base of the back of the head to the base of the tail

4) Measurement of the dog from the breastbone to the back of the thigh.
